will ryzen 1800x will be able to push framerates of games like cs:go,overwatch etc to high frame rates like 144hz if my gpu (gtx 1080ti) is able to ? I know that i7-7700k will be able to but i will be using my pc for gaming and alo other stuff so thats why 1800x. Also Which games really need 144hz ?

Get a 1700 and just overclock it to 1800x speeds. It can do well over 144fps in CSGO/Overwatch, but not necessarily in all games.

That will come down to personal preference, imo only FPS benefit from >60fps, but others would say that other games do as well. Personally, I find 90fps to be noticeable compared to 60fps games whereas 144fps isn't all that noticeable compared to 90fps. I also personally find myself pretty distracted while gaming to the point where I don't really find all that much benefit in >60fps.

Overwatch won't have any big problems, because it's DX12/Vulkan optimised, and can utilise all those cores ... not that dependad on single core performance.

 

Other FPS games should work aswell.
