Option A. 3000mhz ddr4 with cas 15

Option B. 2666mhz ddr4 with cas 16

RAM A has both has higher bandwidth (frequency) and lower response time (Cas latency)? literally no reason not to get option A unless its significantly more expensive and out of your price range.

2666/16= 166,625

Ryzen likes some ram chips more than others, so check compatibility of the specific type if you fancy pushing the ram clock up.

But it's not on the QVL list

Ryzen is known to prefer a certain Samsung chip series if you want higher clocks, although I don't recall exactly which that was. Would need to find that, and what those modules actually use.

well, usually end up getting a 'meal deal' so about £6GBP, 20 chicken nuggets is £3.99 GBP and i usually order and extra drink so its like £12 GBP

To the OP, I have Corsair Vengance 3200 sticks in my ryzen build and cannot get them to the rated 3200 speed. I believe these are NOT samsung sticks though. If I were you I would check out the reviews online using the motherboard you are looking at.

 

Unless you want to take the chance and buy best value now and wait a few months to see if compatibility changes.
