Can I fix this?

Hello guys. I've just signed up but I've been following this forum for a long time. But now I have a serious problem. I have a x99 deluxe u3.1 motherboard and a little pice has detached from the motherboard. I dont really know what it is. But I think it's a memory controller. Can this be fixed by welding it? Please help me =(

thats a choke/inductor

 

You ca resolder it on if you want.

 

Other wise, try to turn it on, there is a good chance it will work fine. Otherwise, send it in for repair.

Ok. I've weld it back.. now I have been runing some test to see if its stable. Somehow when I run prime 95  stress test(Lots of ram tested) it just hangs up and I have to hard reset. But it powers on normally.. until I run that test =/.

well, thats probably the ram power that has problems, so try memtest for kicks

 

can you resolder it on?
