blender export taking for ever

hey guys, i have a video that i am trying to export now and its taking forever like 30 mins to export a 10 min 720p video
cpu usage is at 3 percent and so is gpu usage during when i press the animation button to export do you have any idea how to solve this ?

im running version 2.78 i think

Why are you using blender to edit video  it's horrible at that.

DaVinci Resolve. Warning though, it likes to eat vram.

i used light works in the end =] did what i wanted it too for my first video the next one i will spend more time on 
gimp was great tho for making the thumb nail and walpaper for youtube =]
