Meh, that's not the best price. I would see if you can get a better deal, unless you want your PC now.

There are slight performance improvements over the 4770.

Is like .2 or .3 ghz difference. Do you think its worth it for 150? Or look for one for less.

Base clock and boost clock differences. Not noticeable to the end user.

@Lil LokiSee if you can find an S-SKU chip. I have an i7 4770S and it has the same boost clock as a 4770K and you can find them super cheap from OEM systems.

|PSU Tier List /80 Plus Efficiency| PSU stuff if you need it.

Is the normal 4770 worth it tho?

That's about what used ones go for, so I guess. Can't say for sure as the "Buy it Now" are all between $140 and $350 or best offer" and auctions that start at $50 and are at 90 or so with a few hours left. he k seems much easier to price..

There is enough youth in this world, how about a fountain of smart?

well how much is a new MB+Ram+CPU (Ryzen or Intel) and compare it to the i7.

Unfortunately I don't know if thats a lot as I don't know your market. But if the machine is just for gaming you can also look at a i5-4460. I've got two friends running these and they playing everything, including BF1 and are super happy. What GPU you running and are you considering upgrading that than the i5+money for GPU could be the better bet.

If you must have the i7 and you are prepared to spend 150 than go for it, Will always be cheaper to go for it than Ryzen+Mb+Ram

maybe post your full PC specs, and what you want to use the rig for and should be able to see where you need a upgrade for your needs

Depends on how much it costs. For about 180 USD I'd buy it.

make sure you get the 3Gb 580, My 1.5Gb is the only thing holding back the card in some of the newer games and already looking at swapping it out for a 770/780 or 960 That said bit of tweaking here and there and been having great fun on GTA. Also system was able to run perfectly fine off a 500w (Crap Brand and quality) until my CX arrived.

Whats the price difference between a i5-4460 and the i7-4770 ?  if its Large than i5, if its a small one than i7 will be a little bit nicer, I wouldn't pay a good amount more for the 4790 instead of the 4770 as the returns are tiny.

Hope you got a SSD in your system, that +i5 will make a bigger difference than i7 alone.
