120MM vs 240MM

Hi all,

I currently have a 120MM rad cooling my 4690k@4.6gHz at 1.33V.

Temps are about 70-80 MAX Running p95 but only hit about 60 while gaming. I want to push the chip to 5ghz if possible.

My case supports up to a 240 rad so i'm looking at upping it.

What temps can i expect with the NZXT Kracken x52?

I don't think the cost would be worth the not guaranteed marginal performance increase.

Im getting the rad i just want to know approx. what temps i can expect...

Yes i know it may be a waste of money but like... RGB and shit.

Rather than spending a bunch on the cooler get a second hand unlocked i7

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

My next upgrade will be to a 1600 or a 1700. I'll need the rad for those anyways.

Who is telling you ryzen makes lots of heat???  the stock cooler on the 1700 is both RGB and enough to OC it anywhere from 3.7Ghz to 4Ghz if you get a good chip.  A 120mm rad is almost overkill

1600 has same cooler but no RGB

Rather than getting a X52, jump to ryzen now and see if you're even close to needing the upgrade.
