I had saw two things today. One was the raspberry pi 3, the other was the makey makey. I thought it would be cool to make some kind of security system with sensors made with the makey makey and some kind of program on the raspberry pi, whether it be something in raspbian or windows iot core. If anyone knows any programs I could use for this in either of those, that would be very helpful.

It would be cool if Linus made this into a video because it seems like something that he would do, but that'll never happen.

(I didn't know what thread I should put this in so I put it here.)

If you can make it reliable, this might be a pretty awesome project, but ask yourself if you trust your own programming to protect yourself. I wouldn't. But I don't know a lot of programming, so that's probably a big part of it.

P.S. this should probably be in Hobby Electronics

Yeah, very doable. Just hook up some capacitive sensors and combine it with a Python script to execute whatever you wanna do when a sensor is triggered.

If you're not going to be doing anything complex (cameras, internet access, etc) but instead doing something simple like activating a motor, maybe an Arduino would be better for this sort of thing.
