I'm thinking of building an entirely new rig fairly soon and it got me wondering.... I've always liked the entire of building a custom loop but for the same price I've found I can build an AIO system with 2 GPU's.

Would you guys rather have a custom loop i7 system with a 1080 Ti, 16GB of RAM, etc etc or would you rather have the same system specs but with 2 GPU's and say a Kraken X62? (same price basically)

I'd be using a Crystal 570X case for the record, still not finalised on all the parts as it is a few months off at least.

A single 1080Ti already is a lot of performance lol. What monitor would you be using with the system? How much are you spending?

I'm not even sure about the 1080 Ti, might wait until the next series its more of the thought of custom loop vs AIO with more power. Planning to spend around £2.8-3.1K and will be using my current PG279Q.

yeah, don't waste your money on so much performance if your only going to be gaming at 1440p144hz. Get the custom loop so you can look at your PC each time you boot it up and just admire it. Its worth almost as much as performance to me

Single 1080Ti is plenty for 144p 165Hz.

You could easily get another 1080Ti and fit it in the loop within budget. +£800 for a 2nd 1080Ti. I'd maybe get dual 280mm rads or a 360mm and 280mm if you get two 1080Ti's. Not really necessary though.

This is good, I should have mentioned I also wanted to remove hard drives and go full SSD so that's probably why the budget minimum is 2.8K for me vs something like this.

Yeah, just drop the HDD and get a 1TB 850 EVO instead of the 500GB version.
