I'm living in Hong Kong and the quote I got is around 1450usd, which is about a hundred something below my budget so I'm thinking if there's anything to change for a better build

I plan to play games, illustrations and stream using this computer. probably more on the latter two
I don't need to go all max setting 144fps for gaming so I cheap out by just getting a 1050Ti, wonder if I should get slightly better card so it last longer before becoming obsolete
I probably won't be fiddling with the overclock settings too, does that mean it's a waste getting this cpu/motherboard/cooling?

I'd get a 470 over a 1050Ti as it's much more powerful and not that much more (generally).

Yes, that motherboard/cooler is a waste if you're not going to overclock (the stock cooler is fine).

may as well get a 570, basically the same price at this moment in time

If you go to school, you can get W10 code for free through Microsoft Education Hub. Register, get your free software. As other's have said, if you're not going to OC, you should be fine with the default cooler, and you could downgrade your MB. If you want to get into it later, its better to just keep the MB. You could also save some money by looking at potentially different fans. I run Cougar in my NZXT Phantom, and they are super quiet. My 200MM fans are the loudest, and my cougars are super quiet. You can pick up a set of Vortex or another fan type for much cheaper than those Corsair fans. Just an option. Otherwise, looks good.

I'm not against the Intel M.2; however, you may also want to compare against the WD M.2. They can be competitive pricing, and I believe the performance is very similar. Just another option to price check when it's purchase time. 5 bucks saved is another video game bundle earned I say..

1. Get less and slower RAM. 2400MHz 4GB DDR4 x2 or 8GB x2 is enough

2. No OC = no need for aftermarket cooler. AMD coolers packed with Ryzen aren't as bad as Intel ones.

3. No OC = not that much heat. 2 case fans are more than enough

4. Can get smaller ssd if OS is the only thing going in. Sth 128GB is enough

5. Don't buy mid-range cards with expensive cooling. You don't need that (BTW  amd rx 470 g1 gaming is cheap in Hong Kong at 160USD, similar to 1050ti)

I can see less RAM, but I would get 3000MHz, and use the A-XMP profile for 2666 or 2993. The performance gain is very nice, with no need to specifically OC. Yes, not hard core gaming required if you're using RX 470 or 1050Ti; however, if you're doing any type of illustration, rendering, etc.. You'll be glad you have the higher frequency.

3000mhz ram doesn't gain enough performance to justify its extra price to a 2400 or even 2133mhz ram to me. Ofc, if the price is nice then it's stupid not to get them.

Ryzen benefits a LOT from higher clocked RAM -- with that said, buying "higher clocked" RAM doesn't guarantee that it will run at that speed on Ryzen and you can just as easily overclock slower clocked ram.
