Monitor not being detected

So the same image is displayed across both my monitors and in the display settings when i click "detect" it says my main monitor is not detected 

I dont know what to do

No i only have one therefore i am using an hdmi to dvi for one monitor connected to a dvi splitter that goes into my gpu
