Applying Vinyl wrap

Go to solution Solved by ARikozuM,

I would recommend something more rounded than a credit card, but it will suffice.

X-Acto/scalpel would be fine.

Isopropyl alcohol to clean the surface of oils would be better than leaving grime on the surface.

Hair dryer is perfect and I would recommend having someone else hold the dryer while you manipulate the material.

Also, I'm surprised no one answered your question when it is painfully easy to answer.

Hello! I want to wrap my keyboards with a carbon fiber vinyl wrap but I want to make sure I have all of the tools I need before I attempt it. In place of a squeegee, can I use a credit card? instead of a razor meant for vinyl, can an X-Acto knife? Do I need an application fluid for this project? If I do how much would I need? Can I just get a small bottle for this project? Also is a hair dryer a good substitute for a heat gun? Thanks!

No need for applicator or adhesion promoters, if you can the best is to not use heat as it doesn't add stress into the wrap as that is what cause it to peel or pull up, however sometimes it's not possible to wrap it wouldn't any heat.
