Selling Ps3 On eBay?

I want to sell my Playstation 3 online and the first site that comes to mind is eBay, but what could I do to not get scammed? For example, the buyer saying that the console doesn't work and returns me a different broken console, etc...

Write down the serial numbers before shipping, take lots of pictures of the console, and trust your instincts (if the buyer seems shady, pushy, or gives you a bad vibe then abort before shipping and contact eBay/PayPal).

Serial numbers etc... take video of it for proof it works. You could also use sites like craigslist if in america or kajijiji if in canada. (I think thats the name of it)

I've sold alot on eBay and still do.

I've been scammed by people on one ebay account when I've sold car parts.

I've never been scammed on my personal account, which sells my old toys, comic books and phones. 

 

Ultimately there is nothing you can do. Taking the serial and recording it working (with the serial being shown in the same video) is the best you can do. But if they claim its broken and return you a different one, you'll be in for an uphill battle that you'll probably not win.

 

Plus they could just switch the serial number sticker or switch the chassis.

 

You can also do craigslist or take the hit and do a trade in with gamestop or another place, but with the value you'll get with the latter, you might as well keep it. 

 

eBay or Craigslist. No fees with craigslist and no dealing with returns... but smaller market (local only).

 

 

You can also call eBay and Paypal beforehand and see what they say, but you'll probably not like it....
