absolutely the 1600

it's basically the same as a 1600X with overclocking, comes with a stock cooler so no aftermarket one needed, even for overclocking (Because Ryzen stock coolers are actually really good)

 

the 1500 and 1500X aren't good, because a comparable i5 is actually better for most people. a 1500X should just be upgraded to a 1600 all the time. it's only like $30 difference for a LOT of performance extra, and a 1400 is worse than a locked i5 for nearly everything except seriously multithreaded things.

R5 1600

 

In terms of things you actually use the pc for it spanks my 4790k

 

but will loose in a r15 single thread test

so if that game is important to you bare in mind lol
