I am trying to help my friend get a virus off his laptop but i do not know the password.  I would ask but he is still out of town with family and is not answering phone calls. Is there a way to get in the computer so i can get rid of the virus?

Um maybe there is something in the BIOS that you can change to do with the password. Worth a quick look

I only know a complicated way. I used this to unlock a old laptop for my friends. What Windows version does he have?

BTW the password was FilthyWhore507

I use hirens boot disk to remove passwords on Windows installations.  if it is a BIOS password than you are going to need to locate the password reset jumper or the BIOS Battery and remove it and wait till the power is drained from the board.
