 First PC

Hello,

I am an amateur who just got into gaming for a year and a half.

This is my first build so I am nervous as hell about it. Apologize if I made any noobie mistake since this is an exciting and new experience for me.It would be of great and a lot of help if you guys can take a moment to evaluate it and make any recommendations for me.

Parts list(All of the parts list rates here are in Rs)

CPU: Intel Pentium G4560 3.5GHz Dual-Core Processor
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B250M-D3H Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive
Video Card: MSI Radeon RX 480 8GB ARMOR 8G OC Video Card
Case: Thermaltake Versa H21 ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: EVGA 500W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply

Some of the pricing of parts  is weird here in India. The RX 480 costs less than a RX 470.

My worry is regarding the cpu since it is a dual core

I largely play like the far cry series, assassins creed, just cause ,etc therefore would the pc handle them well?

These are my doubts and just another thing I really like the community  here? . Guys please continue the good work.

??

Seems fine.

However, PSU could be better. Also, go for a better CPU IF you can afford.

Will there be any upgradability issues with amd since I want to upgrade my cpu down the line? Since the LGA 1151 socket gives me option to upgrade to kaby or sky lake .

G4560 is a HT dual core and was considered one the best budget cpu's. Also G4560 is a Kaby Lake cpu lol, I assume you meant an i5?

@deXxterlab97 am I wrong about the Pentium G4560?

Current System Specs:

CPU: Intel I5-7660K; CPU Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212X; Thermal Paste: IC Diamond 7 Carat; Motherboard: MSI Z270 Gaming Pro Carbon;

That was the decision I was split on regarding the g4560.Thought the hyperthreading could do the job but apparently it doesn't

That is the opposite of what I said lmfao?

The G4560 is budget, and is better than an i3, but not better than an i5. If you want to go I5 on a budget, get it locked (or splurge for an i7 locked).

Your right.I probably should go for i5.The cpu was my main concern.Have to make some changes in the choice.Anyways thanks a lot.☺

Switch the samsung evo to a cheaper ssd (Adata 128gb), you don't need m.2/pci-e for a gaming rig, it literally makes no difference for the cost.

Should give you room for a $300 CPU from a $60 CPU

Try get a ryzen 5 1400 or a 1500X id recommend the 1500X for an extra 8Mb of L3 Cache. Plus B350 mobos are cheap enough

AMD's upgrade cycle was slow, but looking at how fast it released the RX 500 series after the 400s even though they are 90% identical, the new FM4 socket should be used for the next 3-5 years, giving options for upgrade
