what is the hardware interface of Dell Optiplex 360
i mean is this system has sata 1,2 or 3

I think sata 1, but why does it matter? there all compativle with eachother.

i want to buy a sata 2 SSD and that why i was asking would it work at speed of sata 2 ??

Buy a sata 3 ssd, no reason to get a sata 2.

 

Speeds wise it will be much faster than a hdd as ssds are faster normally due to there much faster random speeds not sequenical. Also your going to be cpu limited in many cases.

If the board only features SATA1 (aka SATA150) then even if you have a SATA 2 or 3 drive, it will only work up to SATA 1's max speed.

so what should i buy sata 1 or sata 3 as if i planned to get a faster board in future

Buy a SATA 3.  No point in buying an older interface standard.  Not to mention the supply is lower, so there's a chance they might be more expensive.  Buy something that you plan to keep.

Technical guide just mentions SATA.  Could be SATA 150 then.  However this CNET spec page shows it as SATA 300 (SATA2).  Just buy a SATA3 drive.
