Rooting oneplus 3T

I'm trying to root my OP3T despite following all the instructions on the the guide, I cannot get it to show up when I use the fastboot devices command

If anyone could help me?

Fastboot doesn't require you to have USB Debugging enabled -- it's a bootloader thing. ADB requires USB Debugging, however.

Have done installed the official oneplus 3t USB drivers etc

Also now only powershell comes up when i shift right click? I'm on the creators update now, but it still show in fastboot devices pre creators update

Silly question but the phone is in fastboot mode, right?

 

Enter fastboot mode- Turn the phone off. Hold volume up + power until the "fastboot" screen appears.

That's why it is not working, Your drivers are not properly installed.

First of all, try to install ADB drivers with the Android SDK or with this tool http://www.koushikdutta.com/post/universal-adb-driver

Make sure to unplug the phone while doing this, reboot your computer and then try to plug it in again. Before you begin right click the triangle and uninstall the current drivers

I know just if OP already has SDK installed he can reinstall drivers from it

the device and been unistalled, theres no option to remove drivers

 

if i set the the phone to MTP mode then it disapears from other devices.

DRIVERS for the ONEPLUS 3T A3003 have been installed as when setting it to file transfer it has the option to download said drivers.

yet when in fastboot mode it only sees it as android device

ALL drivers have been reinstalled several times now.

from various palces 

including from here https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools.html

Go to the error in device manager and select update. Choose the ADB drivers and let it install then reboot

open device manager if the phone detected and has a triangle in it. right click and uninstall.

Unplug the phone from ur PC and plug it again ( still in fastboot )

If the triangle icon still showed up right click uninstall and thick delete the driver blah blah

do the same step again.

yeah , thanks, idk what i clicked? but it seems to have went to the device and i just chose the adb interface driver

its detected and the bootloader has been unlocked, i cant flash the recovery.img

Where is the recovery image located

You have to "cd" to that location and then run the command
