Windows 10 creators update problems

so i have had a bunch of issues trying to upgrade to this ver of windows from 1511 every time i have tried after everything upgrades and after it logs in for the first time i get a black screen with only my cursor and i have tried everything i could find to fix this only to keep restoring to my system image to try again

Take out the drive and put it on another computer as a secondary drive. Backup your files. Please perform Clean Installation. It's the only (not really, there could be other ways) way to get pass this problem or any other "Windows Upgrade" problem.

 

Less pain in the ass in the future.

Do you wait to see if it goes away and if so, how long do you wait for the black screen to go away? (I assume you're waiting a while but sometimes people don't wait so just making sure)

 

I know it can sit there for up to 10 minutes on the black screen before something happens and it's churning in the background doing more updates.

I've left it for 30mins I can access task manager and stuff like that but I get no desktop. It's after it logs me in after the finalization part

Might need to do a clean install for it to work =/

I unfortunately don't have another computer I can do that on

When you get to that black screen with a cursor only. Do you see disk activity from your computer?

Did you try hitting Win+Shift+Ctrl+B (this resets the display drivers)?

Well I figured it out and got it working after a 4th try turns out I had to uninstall eset  and oldexplorer and uxstyle I was using for windows dark
