see i want some good speakers which dont cover a lot of space. Budget can vary. I  will me using my headphones most of the times tho

If you're not a music producer or DJ, I think you'll be very pleased with the Logitech Z200. They're only $30 and sound great for music and gaming as well. I use them daily. Compared to $100 headphones like the Philips SHP 9500 or Sennheiser HD 558, you lose some detail and the bass is a tad boomier. But you gain soundstage.
