My situation is a little different from others. This ancient antec p182 is terrible. I'm looking for a mid tower case with room for 5-7 3.5" hard drives. I don't need the 5.5" optical drives etc but it needs to have a nice front dust filter thats easy to clean/removable and be overal quiet. I'm still using an old Corsairs 750TX PS which has insanely long cables and non modular. Lastly air flow needs to be decent since I'm running a PCS+ R9 390 which dumps all the hot air back in the case...

Anyone got any suggestions to which case to get? Budge of something like 150-300 CAD. Rather stay below 200$.

I would recommend a Fractal Define R5 or NZXT H440 for this.

The R5 or H440 fits 7 hard drives? I'm talking about 7 3.5" not 2.5" ones that mount off to the side.

Yes,

The R5 can hold 8 and the H440 up to 11.

I'd go with the NZXT H440 over the Fractal Define R5 based on the gpu cooling results in their respective reviews from bittech. Though if you liquid cool your cpu the H440 is horrible because of the tiny top vents where people usually mount their 240mm rads. But on air cooling it's a good case other than the sound dampening foam making it a real bitch to put the side panel on behind the motherboard tray.

These 2 cases came out 2014. Any newer revisions or newer cases that came out last year that can also hold so many HDs?

No (well sorta)

Case manufacturers are really trending away from HDD cages in favor of SSD cages and tempered glass as well as lots of watercooling support. The only new case that I can think of, off the top of my head like this is the Dark base 900, though a lot of Phantek's Cases like the P400 and the Evolv have optional slots for hard drive cages but you have to buy those separately (Also theres a Dark Base 600 but it comes with 3 trays and looks like it can only hold 5 total)

I would probably go with the R5 personally. Not a fan of the H440
