My test system updated to Windows 10 Creator update today, did not go well. The NIC was screwed up, no network access on any network card.

Removed and reinstalled the NICs to get them working but they network properties still a mess.

This messed up my online backup software as it found 20 NICs in the registry, tried different ones until it found one that worked.

I have an Intel NIC and a killer 2000 NIC one built in one PCI both affected.

Anyone else seen NIC issues with the Creator update. its working now but properties are still not displaying correctly.

open a command prompt as admin and run "SFC /SCANNOW". You may need to go through 2-3 cycles of Scanning then rebooting and scanning again to clear it up. Its worth a shot.

Have you tried reinstalling the driver via device manager?

Thanks for the comments, Found the creators update to be a really bad experience regardless of the network issues. I have reverted to the previous version which went perfectly.

Windows defender to intrusive can't full switch it off keeps popping up messages, Windows firewall service has to be running even firewall set to switched off (so what else is it doing) even more weird MS services stealing data in this version, nice that they even name them to look like malware (_a784). Also found it laggy. "I have a bad feeling about this!" (upgrade) felt a little erm Vista\ME (if your old enough to remember ME, now that was bad). I ran away to a previous version, MS are just piling in more and more bolt on services to do god knows what, that we don't need. Feeling happier now on the previous version, at least i have some control and can stop the service I want to stop.

Remember when Windows wasn't "Free" and you could control what it did!? I would rather pay for windows without all these crappy service syncing (stealing) data. And i have my own firewall an AV solution so Defender can <Insert expletive here> off. Anyway feeling a major rant coming on so will stop now. I used to love Microsoft (Apart from SCCM that is a turd).
