Best Gaming Headset 2017?

Hey guys,

 

So basically I currently have a FiiO E10K (DAC), AKG K7XX (Headphones) & RODE NT-USB (MIC), as my audio/mic setup. It's great and all, however for multiplayer gaming it's not. As during matches my team can hear all the background noise from my mic and the sound from my earphones (open headphones).

So I was wondering whats's the best gaming headset I can get, with clear audio and a decent mic. I have had in the past the 'Razer Kraken Pro', what hurt my ears after an hour or so of use and also the 'Kingston Cloud II', what were awesome, but the mic broke on it. So I'm kinda looking for something better then the cloud II.

Awesome, was looking for a good pair of closed backs anyway for general use. As the AKG are open headphones and can be really annoying sometimes. I guess the mod mic is what I really need. Would the Audio Technica M50x be a good choice? Looking for something on the other side of sound compared to my AKG K7XX (More bass etc)...

Perhaps look at a different microphone.  I have some akg k712 with a modmic 4.0 and have no issues whatsoever with people hearing sounds from my headphones, or any other sounds other than my voice.  It appears the Rode is pretty sensitive and will pick up a lot of background noise even with the pop filter.  I can't really speak for that though as I don't own the mic.  But I don't recommend buying a new headset though just based on the mic though unless you absolutely must have closed-back headphones.
