nVidia has both G-Sync and GameStreaming... now G-Sync needs a processor/controller to operate. Why not integrate Wi-Fi on it and allow to stream games directly to the TV like you can do on the Shield, instead of streaming to the Shield and connecting that with an HDMI to the TV.

Do you thing nVidia will add this functionality or is it already there and I missed it?

Not the worst idea I've heard, but I bet H.264 streaming at variable framerate isn't easy to get working. G-sync is more of a bad ass gaming thing probably only available on gaming monitors in the first iterations, not something I see as the right price bracket for a monitor for streaming and the latency streaming introduces. Other than that, I like your idea.

I don't quite understand your question... Do you mean like adding a Wi-Fi transmitter onto the g-sync module and connecting your TV to Wi-Fi??????

Are Wi-Fi TV's a thing?

I can imagine it's not going to happen right away, but I think it would be possible in a later generation of G-Sync.

Because then you don't have to buy a nvidia shield to use the streaming thing.

Aka less money for nvidia.

Basically. But not the crappy Wi-Fi Smart TV stuff we're offered now, but a "nVidia GameStreaming" version

I am absolutely sure this is on Nvidia's roadmap.  It will be difficult, but not impossible.  It will just be hella expensive!

But you already don't have to buy it - you can get the Tegra Note.

That's a nvidia product.

Still buying something extra, so more money for nvidia.

I'd do with an nVidia Game Streaming HDMI dongle, like one of those mini android media PC's that plug straight into an HDMI port, but for gamestreaming.

But for implementing G-Sync in a TV you would have to pay nVidia money, I'd guess. And for some people that would be a reason to buy a new TV ---> money for nVidia

G-sync on a tv?

Erm....yeh....no, I doubt they will ever do that.

Also the g-sync chips/boards are already made, they won't bring out a g-sync v2 with wifi because everyone who bought v1 will be screwed.

You will be required to buy something extra to get the streaming to work, could be a little box or something, a usb stick of sorts, tablet, shield or some other device.
