Is Ryzen 5 good for streaming?

I've never streamed before, but I was curious if a cheap 6 core would suffice.

 

I'm not sure how streaming works, does processor quality affect the resolution you can stream at? I do everything at 1080p usually.

 

Compared to my Ivy Bridge i5 3450 the R5 1600 looks better in every way.

 

2 more cores,

8 more threads

.1 higher base clock,

.1 higher boost clock,

2 more mb of L2 cache

10 more mb of L3 cache,

is unlocked,

lower TDP.

their is no contest on intels side. r5 is the best budget streaming cpu.

Yeah the i5's are now definitely written off completely. Even as gaming CPU's they make no sense.

I'm curious if they would have a B350 chipset mITX board. I've never actually overclocked before either. Maybe I wouldn't have to if AMD's precision boost is any good. Doesn't it work like Intel's Turbo boost? I don't actually know how either of them work. Are they like a built in overclock? Does it overclock all cores or only one?
