Can I play ashes of a singularity on an old 5850?

Ubuntubr

Hi. I want to know if I could play the game even on the lowest graphics. My system consist of:

Asus m5a78l-m/USB 3.0

Fx-8320e 3.2ghz(boost 4.0)

6gb(3x2gb) Corsair RMS3

Xfx HD 5850 black edition

EVGA 600b PSU

I want to know if I could also play other games too. Games like fallout 4, assassin's Creed syndicate and that stuff.

At 1080p or less you should be able to play with the settings on low. Don't expect fluid 60fps or anything, but any of those games would be playable for the most part.

If I overclock it could I get anything close to 60fps?

You should be able to play, but we won't know anything definitive until you try.

Considering it has 1gb of VRAM I would say no, probably like 20-30fps, maybe more the less GPU intensive the game is.

I will try playing these games later on. I'll be posting the results here. I'm trying not to buy any new pc components to see if amd ryzen gets cheaper here in Brazil. We have a ridiculous amount of tax on electronic parts and it's about 4.000 Reais (roughly 1.300 dollars) a 1800x with a crosshair motherboard. So I'm thinking of going to the us and buying it there. And I'm not going to get a Intel since AMD is almost half it's price.

Here's another question. Should I really change the moatherboard and CPU right now just because it's a new processor or should I just buy more RAM and a decent GPU?

CPU. It's time to take the build behind the barn.

As a veterinarian, that actually is painful to say.

Your whole setup is extremely dated at this point. I'd start saving up for a new pc. Ryzen 5 and Ryze 3 are great values.

I will save money for a new pc but as I promised here are some of the results of each game.

Ashes of the Singularity (Custom settings with only Point Light diferent from the Low Settings)

I found these results interesting because on low settings i had lower fps in some parts. I know that the benchmark isn't ideal and that I should have tested them playing, but i use CAM to have the fps counter, temps and usage. Its not the best but i only use it because I used it to modify my GPU fan settings(Just because it looks better than MSI afterburner).

AC Syndicate (Low Settings):

Average of 30 FPS so ok. Not the best but thats what i can do for now.

Fallout 4(Low Settings)
