So I have this issue where when OBS Studio is open, my games appear to play at a much lower framerate than they should. When I check the framerate that the game is actually rendering, it's as it should  be, but I can tell that's not what's getting displayed. I have a 144hz monitor and my system is perfectly capable of driving games on it. I don't think this is a lack of system resources issue but something more along the lines of a compatibility error, or maybe it's a capture limitation of OBS.

Has anyone had this issue before? Any ideas as to solve it? (Please don't just recommend an external capture card, the way they are used with 144hz monitors is by using OBS and projecting the game on another screen.)

*EDIT* Found the solution: This problem stems from a compatibility issue with using a 144hz and 60hz monitor at the same time. Displaying a video (OBS preview) on the 60hz monitor will lock the 144hz monitor to 60hz while that video is being played, because a graphics card can't display fractional frames. The fix is to change the main monitor to something divisible by 60, so from here on out I'll be running at 120hz. In the future though I look forward to 180...
