EDIT: I like Aida64 because it is a massively diverse and useful piece of software with more features than you would know what to do with (literally). Prime95 is no where near it in terms of features, so thats why I would say "fuck no" to swapping the 2 :P

Yeah, I was really pleased. I was planning on going AMD FX-8300 because of my budget limitations but this chip had better benchmarks and the ability to upgrade later whereas with the 8300 I'd be stuck with an old slot.

Well...they are both old, but the 3770 is definitely the better option overall.

True, but with AMD going to the AM4 slot it's nice to have the LGA1155 instead. Though I think I want to upgrade the motherboard anyway as I don't think this one would handle a fast SSD which I desperately want to make it so I don't spend 10 minutes loading into Rust every time I want to play. :D

So your motherboard does not have any SATA ports...very unlikely...unless you want to do NVME pcie x4 ssd storage. Your motherboard should have at least 1 SATA3 port that you could install a SATA 3 SSD on

I have a lga 1155 motherboard with a b75 chipset and it has 1 SATA3 port and 5 SATA2ports. 

 

Yours should also have that as well.

If you look at your motherboard like I did, you have 1x PCIE x16 and 3x PCIE x1. Graphics cards use x16 and other expansion cards (wifi, network and SATA) usually use x1 or x4.

This is a OEM motherboard. It was designed to be limited to what it was supposed to run. I just searched it up and its only SATA II. Its a H61 board.

BTW @Hishighness, you should consider the RX 480 4GB over the GTX 1060 3GB. Last time I checked, the 6GB model was supposed to compete with the RX 480 and the 3GB with the RX 470.

Yeah, I was really pleased. I was planning on going AMD FX-8300 because of my budget limitations but this chip had better benchmarks and the ability to upgrade later whereas with the 8300 I'd be stuck with an old slot.

Speaking of this, no more upgrade path. 3770 and 3770K is most powerful chip for LGA 1155
