Currently, using an old AMD system with FX 6350 and Radeon 7800 GPU. Constantly runs at 80 degrees (either under load or idle) and I really need an upgrade, so planning to build my first PC (first was prebuilt).

This is my proposed parts list, plan to use this for music production and some gaming (R6 siege, CSGO, etc.).

Can't make my mind up on the cooler, as I'm not sure how much of a difference it would make for my use personally. I don't have a specifically set budget, but don't really want to spend tons on a cooler.

Also, RAM is ridiculously expensive here in the UK and I'm not sure how much of a difference the speed will make.

I should also point out that I'm going for a black and white themed build.

As for the CPU I think it's a bit overkill, if gaming (non-VR) and music production are the main things you're going to do with it... The RAM looks really good for the price actually (here in Italy the prices are comparable) and the cooler seems good too. If you want best overclocking capabilities (again, probably not needed), you might want to go with a Noctua cooler (like the NH-D14) and replace the fans with Noctua black and white ones (or other good fans). This is a bit trickier and more expensive solution, but it'll give you quite some more room for OC

Looks good to me. I'd just roll with that setup.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

At this price range, wouldn't it be better to go with a Corsair H60 or is the Noctua better?

Don't waste money on a 120mm AIO cooler. They are not much better than a low end air cooler. The Cryorig H7 that you have in your list is a good choice, although they seem to be out of stock everywhere for some reason.

You could drop the psu down to 550W if you are just going with a single GTX 1070.

Yeah, this is a possibility, although I'd rather play it safe and go for a bit extra as I've had loads of problems with the PSU in my current PC.

I have just had a quick look on pcpartpicker and to be honest you are not really going to save any money by dropping down to 550W so you might as well roll with the 650W.
