are they all ddr 3 ram of the same amounts and speeds?

 

they HAVE to be all ddr3

 

they SHOULD be all in the same GB amounts

 

and they CAN all be of the same speeds

Both 4gigs ddr3 1600mhz

it should work just fine then, to a point ram is ram.

its always a gamble when buying mismatched RAM but as long as they are identically speced with clocks and frequency you should be good but there is no makeing sure unless you buy identical sticks

I have issues with the same brand same name sticks that are 2x8 running in 4x8, I would not want to be you with two brands in that situation
