no it literally is a few frames, and game dependant isn't looking great ether as the current market is catering to Consoles and we get the ports. They are not developing games that need 8 threads or beyond as only the higher levels of the PCMR can play it, thats not a big enough market. GTA V runs just as well off a i5 asit does a i7 unless you doing crazy 4K mods but thats a whole nother issue in of itself. BF1 is one of the only ones and that been said its not like running it off a i5 gives you potato performance.

@cdsboy2000 is completely right here. $100 just isn't worth it for a few frames.

FACT: There WILL ALWAYS BE A BOTTLENECK in a system. Bottlenecks ain't these big bad monsters that make games unplayable. it just means some parts are faster than others. If you got a core2Duo and a 1080 thats a bottleneck that will affect you, but anything from the last 2 years CPU+GPU wise you are more than good enough unless you are a true Enthusiast in which case you would be OC'ing and all the rest.

i would beg to differ. if you put down the graphics settings to get closer to 144fps on a 144hz monitor it will matter, you can say that it doesn't matter to you but the fact is if they are buying a 144hz monitor i would suspect them to want to run games at 144fps which would be alot easier with an i7 than an i5. like i said it is game dependent and settings defendant but getting the i7 isn't a bad choice its just a choice. you may not think its worth eh extra 100 dollars but one could definitely argue that it is. there is merit in both getting the i5 and the i7 but i would suggest that if you can afford to get the i7 then why not. its not like there wont be a difference.

I would say that you've made one of the more complete and most balanced builds than most of the people that ask around on this fourm. Good job :)
