Is it possible to MOD a RGB LED Strip to have HUE effect?

Hi guys, just wanna ask, is it possible to to MOD a RGB LED Strip to have HUE effect just like the NZXT Hue? i just saw someone did it with a cheap china RGB fan, not sure how he make it, but this came in my head... a HUE Strip?

It's doable if you have addressable LED strips, but you need a controller capable of individually changing the patterns of each LED.

I've already done the hard part :D, all you need is 20 bucks and half an hour of DIY time.

Huh may just do this for fun, what's the control interface like can you select individual lighting modes other than the dynamic light snaking around?

Well I'm really bad explaining, but you can download the app (even without the actual LEDs) and check it out for yourself.

Off - All leds off
Fixed Color - a single color across all the leds
Color Fade - smooth transition between 2 colors
Color Breathe - smooth transition between a color, then off, then the other color, then off again
Color Chase - single dot of color that leaves a trail, blends all LEDs into the second color
Color Cycle - all the leds cycle through the color spectrum
Color Switching - fills the leds one by one with one color, then the next
Color Rain - blends all the leds into the second color, dots of the first color appear randomly
Color Gradient - gradually transitions from the first color to the second across the strip
Rainbow - see gif
Rainbow Breathe - same as breathe, but the color cycle through the spectrum
Rainbow Chase - same as chase, the dot cycles across the spectrum
CPU temperature - coming this friday :D
CPU usage - coming this friday
GPU temp - coming this friday
GPU usage - coming this friday
Custom Pattern - set any led the color you want

Cheers!
