Hey LTT crew,

I posted a build guide a couple months ago and after the feedback that I got, I have returned with new knowledge and more questions for you all.

The point of this build is to focus on video rendering and recording whilst maintaining solid gaming performance and keeping a 1.7K budget. That's it really.

I currently run a single 23 inch monitor but am hoping to upgrade to dual monitors. I also live in Canada if it changes much.

Do you believe that my build can be improved? (Feel free to rip it apart as you need)

Current Parts State:

Firstly, there is no changing the processor as I have already purchased it (I understand that with Ryzen and Vega etc. it would have been good to wait but whatevs)

Secondly, I am not sure if I should install a wireless networking adapter. I completely understand that a direct Ethernet connection is best when gaming but I do not have that luxury atm.

I know of powerline connections but if that becomes impossible which network adapter do you recommend me to buy?

Lastly, can you estimate if I will have enough space for sufficient cooling and the different parts?

Thanks a ton guys, you blew me away last time with the overnight responses!

yeah man, looks like a solid build,  think the only part is the GPU, now I'm looking for answers as well but seen a few people saying a 470 is better value as its slightly better but we'll have to wait for them to post and educate us both :P

Also guys will attack that PSU, but it by no means a bad PSU, its just not a Teir 1/2 PSU, How much Overclocking you planning cause if not much you should be fine. you not even going to be stressing that PSU with those parts.

and Great choice in case, I regret selling mine for the 400C.

I forgot to add that you should look at Vuugo shipping fees, they are quite expensive if you live in BC, $15/item. Also get a SeaSonic G Series PSU instead for the same price or less.

It's in CAD explaining the price. And that's not true, for rendering Nvidia is better because of CUDA acceleration.

Backing up to the PSU part, what do you think is a tier 1/2 PSU because I am hoping to overclock this processor and GPU as liberally as possible. I mean what's the point of buying a 6600K if you aren't gonna overclock it right? :P

That psu is a tier 1 psu, I'm not sure what they're saying. G3 PSUs are like top of the top right now.

Haha, you have to read my full description to understand the context of my question. I said I can't compromise the processor as it has already been bought, if you have a smarter motherboard choice or even some reasoning as to why switching to the 480 is better I would love to hear it!

I automatically assume you are using a 1080p monitor to play games. And then 480 isnt bad at rendering ive heard.
