Can anybody think of a good reason to delay a build for the release of ddr4, will it significantly advance gaming?

No.

Unless it's an APU build.

No, don't do it.

If it increases performance a lot (Which it won't) you can buy more

I believe some unsespecting results in fps were released in respect to RAM speeds and BF4. Personally, if RAM is that huge of a factor. high speed DDR3, will be the best way to go at the beginning.

the latest bf4 benchmarks from slick showed just under 10fps gain when switching from 1333 - 2400 mhz mem frequency, that was huge considering it was only on the intel 1150 platform.

I don't think that they are real and if they are how the heck does ram speed affect gaming? Like are you running out of Vram and then using your normal ram? Like really? And did they benchmark it on a 1155? (From what if seen it's only Ivy-Bridge) I call bullshit.

My Pc: Cpu: I7 4790k @ 4,8 Ghz @1,25 volts, Motherboard: Maximus VII Formula, Graphicscard: 2x Titan X @1,4 at stock voltage (soon to be replaced), Ram: 32 gb Corsair Dominator Platinum 2133 Cl 9, SSD: 2x 850 Pro 1 Tb in Raid 0, 2x Samsung 840 Evo 1 tb raid 1,, PSU: Corsair HXi Series 1000W 80+ Platinum, Case: H440. Soon to be watercooled again, maybe, probably, the Titans are too loud.

On paper DDR4 looks rather promising, but there's no benchmarks with DDR4 yet (afaik), I'm not sure if there are any consumer motherboards that support DDR4 even. If you can hold off a few months, I'd suggest waiting a bit and see what pops up.

nope, not a single board supports DDR4, not even serverboards, there just isnt a chipset that supports it...

BF4 can leverage a lot of CPU power if you have it, and that means increased RAM usage.

I would say there is no point in waiting for DDR4, because even when it does come out, it is going to be the earliest, least impressive DDR4 modules you'll ever see from the standard, not much better, or not at all better, than high speed DDR3.  It will also be expensive, so you might as well just go with high speed DDR3, because the basic DDR4 speed that will be around the same, will probably not be any cheaper anyway.  Might be more expensive.

The initial release of DDR4 will not have much worth waiting for at all, no, because initially only the lowest end ones will be released.  When DDR3 came out it launched with DDR3 1066 being mainstream, which could be matched by high speed DDR2.  Then DDR3 1333 became mainstream, then 1600, as well as all the higher speed ones coming out in the later years.  When DDR4 launches, it will launch with everyone offering DDR4 2133 modules (successor to DDR3 1066) which, as you know, can be matched and surpassed by high speed DDR3, and I really doubt it's going to be any cheaper since DDR3 2133 is like $10 more for 8GB kits compared to DDR3 1600.  If you were hoping you could wait 6 months for Broadwell to release, and then all the $80 DDR3 1600 kits would be replaced by $80 DDR4 3200 kits, it's not going to happen, not at initial release.
