WiFi help!

ok, this is going to be pretty difficult to describe, so please bear with me a bit.

we are in the process of making an "extension" for our house, but there is a really big problem: it's covered in metal! basically a Faraday cage. i wanted to know if a few Ubiquiti Unifi AP's would work together to create a seamless experience like a mesh network, or would I have to use the Ubiquiti Unifi mesh to accomplish this?

or would you recommend something else?

yeah, of course! no wifi repeaters. I need a few AP's that basically act like one.

Ah i see, what do you want to know about this? Got multiply access points myself so i got some experience with it but its not really clear to me what you want to know based at your first post.

Its easy to setup plug it in and give same SSID but unfortuately this wont work as 1 huge access point (that isnt possible) device will connect to the access point with the strongest signal. (more often you have to connect manually to the strongest access point)

please leave, you do not get it.

sure dude.

The only thing close to what you want is WiFi roaming. Which the Ubiquiti AP's can do from my understanding. How seamless is hard to say. To my understanding their is a software component to get this to work with the Ubiquiti AP's.

Basically when you go from one AP to the next AP the software component is suppose to hand you off, so its suppose to be seamless but I have no experience with this, and cant say how seamless it will be.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
