Hi I have made 2 pcpp lists around the same price point and I was wondering what I should go for! I do gameplay recording, just plain gaming, and video editing. I use after effects, sony Vegas and blender 3D. I play minecraft(w/shaders), crysis, and battlefeild.

Maximum of $720 but not counting mail in rebates or discounts while still counting shipping. You must use a Node 304, a Bitfenix Phenom, or a Bitfenix Prodigy

why small form factor? it limits yourself tremendously

Since you are not overclocking, go with the i5-4670 or even the i5-4570.

In the AMD build, nVidia recommends 600W psu. Roswell Hive 650W might do, seen a decent review but have no experience with it.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

my personal opinion, your going to need more then 720 to make a decent gaming machine for editing and such for a mini itx build but ill see what i can do..

For reasons of looks or size?

The Prodigy is like twice as big as the Node 304.

Not at all.

Psu recommendations are often inflated.

. . .

Agreed. None the less, I've found that following manufacturers guidelines generally leads to less troublesome systems. Of course, they also cost more.

well, i personally cant find any mini itx boards that are half decent or even look decent on pcpartpicker - i think my pc partpicker is stuffing up it wont even show mini itx boards for me atm..

if hes serious about video editing and such, hes going to want an i7, he also wants shadowplay shield streaming etc so he needs atleast a 760, and hes going to need a bit of ram as well

Mini itx mobos don't look nice until you populate the slots.

its more the fact that they dont seem high quality as such if you can understand that?

Ram, pci-e, cpu, etc. I just meant stuff on it in general.
