I've been looking into upgrading my CPU for a while, but I do not know if my PSU is up for the task.

I will list my parts below, as I would like help with what CPU to upgrade to and if I could even upgrade at all.

Thanks!

Intel Core i5 6500 (Skylake)

ASUS H110M-A Motherboard

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 G1

G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB)

EVGA 600W 80+ (I cannot find a link to this one, my apologies)

600 Watts (even from a rather bad psu) is enough to handle a rather high end system these days. Unless you play on running a dual gpu setup down the road you'll be fine

CPU: I5 4590 Motherboard: ASROCK H97 Pro4 Ram: XPG 16gb v2.0 4x4 kit  GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 PSU: EVGA 550w Supernova G2 Storage: 128 gb Sandisk SSD + 525gb Mx300 SSD Cooling: Be Quiet! Shadow Rock LP Case: Zalman T2 Sound: Logitech Z506 5.1 Mouse: Razer Deathadder Chroma Keyboard: DBPower LED

The PSU is fine but in my opinion, don't cheap out on the PSU for such a high end build.

I've had the PSU for quite some time, and I didn't build it.
I purchased it as a custom pre-build before my "building days."

I plan on upgrading it, I just don't understand everything PSU yet.
