Pc for browsing the internet

Go to solution Solved by brob,

@Da OG Fish,

Is this a fine pc for just browsing the internet and using for light programs. The 1050 is so my father can have 2 monitors hooked up and for light gaming.

Thanks in advance.

You could probably replace that i3 with a pentium g4560 . Unless you're using AVX 2.0 workloads , they're identical , despite the pentium costing about 70$

AMD Ryzen R7 1700 (3.8ghz) w/ NH-D14, EVGA RTX 2080 XC (stock), 4*4GB DDR4 3000MT/s RAM, Gigabyte AB350-Gaming-3 MB, CX750M PSU, 1.5TB SDD + 7TB HDD, Phanteks enthoo pro case

You could also ditch one of the monitors and potentially just get a larger single monitor, and drop the 500gb SSD to 120-250gb-ish if this is literally JUST for browsing the internet. No need for 500gb.

Edit, also yeah, you can drop one of the RAM sticks and no need for a GPU.

What kind of light gaming? You can do two monitors off an iGPU now. So if it's nothing 3D oriented, you can get away with using the iGPU.

Also it's just me, but I wouldn't get a GTX 1050 with a beefy heat sink. Something more like: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487295. Especially considering the card you selected may require a 6-pin connector, and that one won't.

I'd also drop the SSD to 250GB, 500GB is a bit much for an internet browsing machine.

@Da OG Fish,

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
