Hello. I have a CX550M psu. I built a pc before one week and everything working properly. Today, the fan of the psu started to spin very fast and become noisy. I am very confused as the power supply produce no heat at the back exhuast. Finally, I am using the pc as i was using it before. Can someone help please. Thanks.

I have a CX450M. The fan on it spins up if the computer starts drawing about 200-250W (so during typical gaming for my case). That's fine, if you're really annoyed you could mod a quieter fan like an NF-F12 in there (there are guides on youtube for that), but generally since PSUs last longer the cooler their components are, I don't mind some PSU fan noise.

Now if you're hearing it be loud at idle, that would be time to contact Corsair

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

Computer having a hard time powering on? Troubleshoot it with this guide. (Currently looking for suggestions to update it into the context of <current year> and make it its own thread)

I'm not sure. Perhaps you didn't notice it before because it was only running while other, louder fans were running.
