So I was confused wether to go with a gtx 1050 and an fx 6300 or go with a gtx 1050ti and corsair h60 to overclock the fx 4300 what do you suggest?

you should better save for a g4560 because its not worth upgrading am3 anymore imo

the 1050 isn't much faster than the 7870, so a 1050ti or above would be needed for an actual upgrade.

As for the CPU, it's really not that great, I have a 7870 myself and I can guaranty you'll see a small bump by getting a better CPU and a more recent platform (I saw a huge difference going from a Core 2 Quad to an Haswell i3)

but i have to buy a new motherboard and ram

yep, so in your case, i'd get the g4560 + b270 + 8gb ram and reuse your gpu
