Points to having a VPN?

So unlimited VPN has a lifetime subscription for 40 dollars and a 3 year for 20 dollars. I was wondering all the uses to one cause I know a few but my dad doesn't think it justifies the 40 dollars (although I could probably convince him to do the 20 dollars)

It's pretty much for the privacy of your browsing (and anything that uses the internet). That's it.

BOINC Setup:

Core2Duo T6600 @ Stock

i3 2330M @ Stock

I use it as a privacy thing. It hides all of my traffic regardless of what I am doing with it. It protects my money and my sanity.

It could also make things like yt/netflix and other things faster right? Considering most ISP throttle those things. And for extra protection on my phone/laptop if I am on public wifi or something.

It'll probably be a bit slower, actually. Not sure if it'll avoid the throttling.

Well things like NETFLIX probably wont work because they block VPN users. I have an excellent VPN company and they are blocked by Netflix. So is charter.

Privacy. Because stealing personal information is easy especially on public wifi and your ISP can be logging the websites you visit thus making a profile of you. A VPN can prevent that.

*If you're considering Tunnelbear, forget it and go find a provider that not only has strong encryption protocols but also handles their own DNS not to mention Tunnelbear is slower than its competition. Tunnelbear and others do not handle their own DNS. Your internet traffic between you and the VPN server might be encrypted but it can leak out and reveal your real IP address and location. If your VPN handles not only its servers and DNS, you're much more protected. To look for VPN reviews, check out Best VPN and VPN Analysis.

https://stacksocial.com/sales/vpn-unlimited-lifetime-subscription But there are other sites, like the one @Implosivetech showed me, would buy it from the one he showed me cause seemed more reliable.

Is it only available worldwide? or US only?
