Working on a computer, and i've even formatted the ssd through command prompt (through the windows installer), but it still gives me an error when trying to install windows on it.  The disk was cleaned, set asa a primary partition, and formatted as fs=ntfs.  The controller is IDE right now, and im just getting frustrated.

you could just unplug all other hard drives and then it would ask you to install windows and then you could just install it like the computer was new

what error, are you sure your installer isn't corrupt?

Yeah, im sure its not the iso, i used it just a week ago, and then havent touched it since.  The error message is "Windows cannot be installed to the disk.  This computer's hardware may not support booting from this disk.  Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS."

OK, do you have another machine you could pop the SSD into and try installing there just to see if it will work there, if it happens in a second machine that would limit issues to either the installer or SSD and rule out anything in the machine.
