Ok, here is my main thing, I'm interested in buying the MSI stealth pro, with the i7 7700hq and gtx 1060 6g. This will be my main college laptop,  and since as in of lately I spent most of my day in campus and not in my house where I have a desktop pc with a 4790k and a 980ti strix. I want a laptop that is light and portable but good enough to play some of my steam games while trying to relax in campus.

My budget can barely cover the MSI laptop at 1.5k with credit from best buy. And all the reviews say that the laptop battery life is 4 hours when playing movies or browsing the Internet, I was wondering if this could be increased by undervolting and underclocking the cpu using the Intel tool. plus would tweeting some multipliers and setting in the power settings and finally making battery windows 10 saving mode active as soon as unplugged from the wall.

I know this things would help a little, but is there any guide out there on how to mod or how to attach a more powerful battery? is this possible? as it ever been attempted? and are there any other laptops with similar gaming capabilities with greater battery life at a size of 14 to 15.5 inches for under 1.6k USD?

Maybe razer blade? but that's probably too expensive.

you can absolutely lower the maximum frequency of your CPU when unplugged, undervolt, etc. however, putting in a bigger battery is really hard, because AFAIK it's pretty dense already, and nobody makes replacement batteries for laptops, other than the laptop manufacturer.
