FPS vs Detal

If you were to chose from 2 pcs

 

One that can get over 60FPS all the time but you have to turn settings down

 

Or a PC that can play at ultra detail but can barely push 30FPS

Depends on the game being played to be honest.

 

Something like GTA V/Witcher, i'd rather have it maxed out settings at 30fps.

CS:GO(though lets be honest, what cant run that at 60fps anyway?) or any shooter game, i'd rather have higher fps and turn down settings.

I'd rather have FPS as long as the resolution is the same and settings aren't all completely low

I'm going to assume your question is:

A) PC that plays 60Hz on low details with no changing of settings vs,

B) PC that plays ultra at 30Hz.

 

I'll take B. Having a good looking game is much better as seeing any artifacts (jaggies, blocks, smudges) is annoying at high frame-rates.

i will always say having the consistent 60fps. i have played at below 60 fps for quite some time and i would say that having consistent 60 fps makes a huge difference. that being said i would sometimes compromise for a 50ish fps experience sometimes with some good quality graphics. the diffrnece between 60 fps and 30 fps is huge so i would say 60 but i would probably compromise for somewhere in between depending on the game and how much better visuals hits frame rates.

Trust me, you want 60. I play overwatch at 45FPS but with res scaling at 50% of 2560x1080 because 30fps running at 75% causes lag even in the menus.

I've been gaming too long to not play a game just because I don't get 60Hz.

Considering the hypothetical situation, I'd take the 30Hz for all genres rather than 60Hz and low graphics that would benefit one genre.

 If your PC can max out something like GTA V at 30fps, CSGO would be no issue at 60fps lmao.

Hell, it'd likely be fine with most shooters at high if you went for 60fps.

Depend on graphic fidelity and controller latency.

 

Some games is acceptable at 30fps, if the difference between ultra and toned down details to achieve 60fps is too huge i rather play at 30fps Ultra.
