Does a program like this exist?

Does this kind of program exist already? I want to make a program sort of like Pcpartpicker, but as you chose your parts, they are displayed in a virtual PC that gives you a 360 view of what your PC will look like when it's built.

Does something like this exist, am I wasting my time?

Not sure. But it does seems to be a big headache tbh. Too much coding.

there are millions of components out there. Some of them are installed differently on each system. The closest u can get is 3d modelling like sketchup

Not that I'm aware of, since it would take an immense amount of resources and time

Yes, it's called PC Building Simulator

 

Though it's likely its part selection is limited and if it ever goes full steam ahead, they'll have to change the design of parts to avoid legal issues.

That's really cool! I had no idea this existed. Whoever runs this project must have a lot of free time...
