Hey, I'm Trying to upgrade my motherboard but i dont know if i can keep my CPU.

 

CPU: Intel I5-6600

Current Motherboard: Gigabyte G1 Sniper Chipset: B150

Prospective Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z270X Chipset: Z240

May I ask why you are upgrading the motherboard? It seems like a weird thing to upgrade with a locked processor. Do you have the 6600k or just the normal 6600?

im upgrading because my current motherboard has been throwing up usb errors for the last few days. im also looking at, in the future upgrading my cpu
