hey i got a AMD 8370 with a 550W power supply and just wondering whats the best GPU i could get without bottleneck, really interested in a 1060

Budget? If your budget is high enough, you could go with a 1070.

 || CPU: Intel i5-8600K || Cooler: CoolerMaster Hyper 212X || Motherboard: Gigabyte Z370 HD3P || GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1050ti OC Windforce 4GB || Memory: 16GB Crucial DDR4 3000mhz || HDD: WD Black 500GB + Seagate Barracuda 2TB || SSD: Samsung 980 1TB || PSU: Corsair VS550 || Case: nJoy Ice Cage || Fans: Segotep Halo Ring RGB ||Monitor: 2x Dell 27" P2717H IPS Full HD || Second Monitor/TV: LG 49UJ620V UHD || Mouse: Logitech G502 || Keyboard: Logitech G810 + Royal Kludge RK84 || Speakers: Philips SPA-5300 subw + Arylic 2.1 + DIY Bookshelves w/ Dayton Audio || Headphones: HyperX Cloud Flight S ||

TO BE UPGRADED:

>> Headphones << >> Keyboard << >> HDD << >> Mouse << >> PC Case << >> Memory(another stick) << >> Graphics Card <<

the chokeing would be pretty freaking insaine with a 1070, unless overclocked that CPU can bottleneck a 970(possiably not in titles that can use all the cores though). i would get a RX 480 or RX 470 depending on your budget and then get a nice CPU cooler and overclock that chip past 4GHz

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

That 1070 won't bottleneck the 8370 at all. And also you'll get some nice FPS.

no, the 8370 will choke, not the 1070. there is no way that the 8370 is going to handle that amount of GPU seeing as a I5 7600k will even bottleneck the 1070 at stock

sir ur wrong. my 8350 @ 5ghz bottlenecked a stock 980 in many games

CPU: INTEL Core i7 4790k @ 4.7Ghz - Cooling: NZXT Kraken X61 - Mobo: Gigabyte Z97X SLI - RAM: 16GB G.Skill Ares 2400mhz - GPU: AMD Sapphire Nitro R9 Fury 4G - Case: Phanteks P350X - PSU: EVGA 750GQ - Storage: WD Black 1TB - Fans: 2x Noctua NF-P14s (Push) / 2x Corsair AF140 (Pull) / 3x Corsair AF120 (Exhaust) - Keyboard: Corsair K70 Cherry MX Red - Mouse: Razer Deathadder Chroma

Bit of an AMD fan I suppose. I don't bias my replies to anything however, I just prefer AMD and their products. Buy whatever the H*CK you want.

Cuz I got a 960 right now and had issues with frame dropping on rainbow six and also screen tearing which hasent happend in a while mind u.. prolly cuz they optimized the game or new drivers I dunno either way I can't run full settings in a game without frame drops

so the general consensus is 1070 will be bottlenecked but some were saying a a 980 can be bottlenecked which leaves me wondering if i should even get a graphics card a tall cuz i have a 960, i guess i would need to see some benchmarks or somthing for proof
