H270 Mini ITX: Gigabyte vs AsRock vs MSI

Hi,

I want to build a new gaming pc for my little brother, he won't OC the CPU, he doesn't know anything about it.
I was looking at the Mini ITX H270 motherboards available right now and they all look the same for me. Even they have the same features, WiFi, M.2, etc...
I can not find any review online either, so this is a matter of brands quality.

On Newegg I have found these:

I like the ASRock because the M.2 is at the top and not at the back as the Gigabyte and MSI have.

I don't know why Gigabyte has always the USB 3.0 connector in the middle of the motherboard -.-

Which one do you think is the best Mini ITX H270?

is for my little brother, he has 16 years old, this is his first gaming pc.

The case is a Mini ITX, very small case to save space on his desk.

I really doubt he will learn or get interest on overclocking.

Besides, the non-K processor produces less heat which is good for a tiny case.

I would spend the extra 7 dollars over the Asrock H270 board anyway even if you are using a locked CPU. This is because overclocking boards have a much higher resale value then locked boards and the extra $7 would allow you to get more of your money back later.

well, you are right.

Also the Z270 supports more RAM frequencies, will be good to have 3200MHz for gaming too.
With a good small CPU Cooler, I'm pretty sure that it will handle the 7700k heat, of course, we won't OC the CPU.

Thanks for pointing this out, nice advice, and just for a few dollars more.

Planning on a videocard for the ITX box? Or is it a very tiny setup?

let me ask you something else.

Z:

  1. ASRock Z270M-ITX/ac $113.99
  2. Intel Core i7-7700K $349.99
  3. G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3600 $169.99
    Total: US$633.97

H:

  1. ASRock H270M-ITX/ac $106.99
  2. Intel Core i7-7700 $314.99
  3. CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 2400 $110.97
    Total: US$532.95

Difference: US$101.02

What do you think?.

Do you think that the Z combo worth it for gaming? will give us a lot of FPS more?, the price difference is noticeable.

Remember: we will have a GTX1080Ti and a 24" monitor 1080p 60hz
