Depends on what kind of sized desk you need.

A good place to look is Craigslist (or your local equivalent) and see what is available. Second hand you can get stuff like IKEA Galants for 40 bucks which is a great deal. Much simpler desks can be had for less too.

For desks I can't recommend anything but going second hand. IKEA desks are also very durable in my experience (unlike many other IKEA things), so it's good to go second hand with that

i wish i took a picture of my old gaming desk. The top was a sheet of plywood on top of two old drawers I pulled out of a failed furniture rental business. Did the job and to top off the classyness of it all I put in a large elvis presley mouse pad

How large of desk would you like? Are you planning on running multiple monitors 27 inch or more?  What are you willing to spend and do you have a color scheme u are looking for?

Myself I was looking for something that was affordable and had lots of space so I went and purchased 3 of the large sections of this desk https://www.jysk.ca/furniture/home-office-furniture/desks/zealand-corner-desk-set.html

Also I have this desk as well witch is great! Fits multiple monitors and is 71" in length with iron legs and two drawers.. This is very solid and will not break the bank.

I never cared for anything fancy

$85

With one mod this has been my favorite setup. Removing the metal bar between the two feet under whichever side you sit helps with foot room.
