so im currently running a new ryzen system with the following specs

Processor: Ryzen 1800x

Motherboard: Gigabyte x370 gaming 5

Graphics card: asus Rx480 8gb reference card

Case: nzxt s340 elite

Ram: gskill trident z rgb 3000mgz 32gb

(Underclocked to 2133mgz)

hue+ white and purple

Nzxt magnetic internal usb 2.0 hub

Main hard drive: corsair mp500 480 gb

Secondary drive: seagate firecuda 2.5" 2tb

Cpu cooler (temporary) coolermaster t12 (i think not really important)

so my computer is having common crashes, but i think i fixed that issues (key word think) but im still seeing in cam software that my graphics cared is sitting at 67C when my computer is in a basically idle state, just normal web browsing, opening overwatch will throw it up into the 81-87 degree terrirtory, once again this is according to NZXT cam software, and that just worrys me that its running so hot all the time, the plastic shroud is warm to the touch, and the graphics card will be getting replaced rather soon, but id like to not have it die on me before i can replace it

What is your fan profile in afterburner/trixx? What is your case's airflow setup? What are the temperatures in your home/computer room?

Personally I dislike NZXT cases. Overpriced, tiny, always designed for ITX/watercooling even when it's supposed to be a regular sized case.. But that's just me.

Well someone has to do WC capable mITX cases...there are a market for em :P

Try creating a custom fan profile in afterburner trading noise for lower temps. 80C~ is what you would expect with the reference cooler while 67C is what you'd probably expect with a reference cooler at idle as the fan has been ramped down.

Maybe try reinstalling/rolling back your GPU drivers as sometimes, either the actual drivers are bad or they were installed improperly thus causes crashing.

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...
