yea looking back 1000 is probably fair when i sold my rig i took original prices and divided by half and sold mine within 2 weeks

Remember the closer you get to that maximum, the longer it will take for any kind of sale, people are good at valuing items, especially people who know what they are looking for.

It's...decent. The CPU and video card are nice, the motherboard isn't.

Thermal compound holds no value, and honestly neither do the fans.

Keep in mind the 1070 is neck and neck with the 980Ti. So that's about what's worth, with the appropriate reduction for wear and lack of a warranty.

 

I'd think $950 USD would be a decent price, at the very high end of what you could get.

It does depend entirely on your local market though. Some places just have no used market, and thus you can ask a higher price.

It's up to you to research that. Not really something that can be answered here. That's why I always find these kinds of threads pretty pointless, especially when the OP starts to argue their price.

For less money you can get a better system, with full warranty.

Bottom line: You can't ask near to new pricing for old, used hardware. Thinking you can get $1,600 is ludicrous.
